Job description

Redline Precision Group, RPG, is seeking an experienced Machinist to join our full-service machine shop. The ideal candidate will have experience operating CNC machine tools as well as conventional manual equipment. This position supports a wide variety of work including production machining, pump and gearbox repair, shaft manufacturing and repair, impeller trim and balance work, heavy equipment repair, and custom fabrication of bushings, sleeves, and other precision components.
Responsibilities
• Set up and operate CNC lathes and mills.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Machine parts to precise tolerances and quality standards.
• Perform repair and rebuild work on pumps, gearboxes, shafts, and rotating equipment.
• Manufacture custom components including bushings, sleeves, spacers, and shafts.
• Assist with impeller trimming and balancing operations.
• Operate manual lathes, mills, drill presses, and other shop equipment as needed.
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Work independently and as part of a team to meet production schedules and customer deadlines.
Qualifications
• Minimum 2 years of machining experience preferred.
• Experience with CNC machining and machine setup required.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Knowledge of precision measuring tools including micrometers, calipers, and bore gauges.
• Experience with pump, gearbox, or rotating equipment repair is a plus.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a shop environment.
