Job description

Bin Technician
Location: Van Buren, IN
Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (Summer hours may shift to 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM due to heat.)

Quality at Weaver Popcorn Manufacturing begins with the raw popcorn we receive. As a Bin Technician, you will help ensure our corn is properly stored, conditioned, and handled before it enters production.

What You'll Do:
As a Bin Technician, you will:
  • Operate and maintain grain drying and storage systems
  • Monitor temperature, moisture, airflow, and product quality
  • Collect and test corn samples
  • Prepare and clean bins between fills
  • Unload incoming popcorn
  • Confirm inventory and proper bin placement
  • Assist with bin inspections, cleanouts, and preventive maintenance
  • Probe bins and enter quality information into AS400
  • Operate tractors, augers, and semi-trucks
  • Support safety, quality, and efficiency improvements

Harvest Season:
Harvest generally begins in September and may continue into the following year, depending on weather. During the six- to eight-week harvest period, grain receiving may operate up to 12 hours per day, including weekends. Additional overtime may be available.
  • Double Time on Sundays
  • Time-and-a-Half after 40 hours worked in a workweek
