Job description

Diesel Truck & Trailer Mechanic - Rose Cartage Service

Monday - Friday - 8am to 4:30 pm

Qualified Candidates should have:

  • 2 years of experience in a Diesel Shop with heavy duty truck and pneumatic tanker fleet
  • Rose Cartage utilizes Kenworth and Peterbilt trucks with all Eaton Transmissions and Cummins Engines - Commins experience a plus
  • Experience with the DOT compliance requirements for heavy trucks and trailers.
  • Experience with computer diagnostics
  • Must pass non-DOT pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • Must have own basic hand tools and toolbox.
  • Ability to weld - steel and aluminum - aluminum preferred
  • Pay based on hands on experience.
  • Must be able to keep a clean and safe work area at all times.
  • Transmission and clutch replacement experience preferred

Responsibilities Include:

Willingness to work overtime if necessary

Repair heavy duty Diesel engines

In addition to truck engines repair/replace brake systems, clutches, transmissions, automated transmissions, differentials, cooling systems, steering systems, hydraulic systems, HVAC or any other system used on medium and heavy-duty trucks.
