What You'll Be Accountable For

Leading Preconstruction Efforts from Concept to GMP

  • You will guide projects through the preconstruction process, ensuring scope, schedule, and cost alignment as design evolves.

  • Lead estimating and planning efforts across multiple projects

  • Develop complete and well-organized preconstruction plans

  • Deliver accurate estimates with clearly documented assumptions

Coordinating Design and Cost Alignment

  • You will work closely with clients, design teams, and internal partners to maintain alignment throughout design development.

  • Ensure pricing reflects current design progress

  • Identify cost drivers and recommend adjustments early

  • Confirm scope clarity and alignment at each design milestone

Engaging Subcontractors and Strengthening Bid Coverage

  • You will build strong trade partner engagement to ensure competitive, well-defined pricing.
  • Facilitate subcontractor participation and scope reviews
  • Ensure scope gaps are minimized and assumptions are documented
  • Develop thorough bid comparisons and analysis

Communicating Pricing and Recommendations to Clients

  • You will present estimates, options, and recommendations with transparency and clarity.

  • Deliver professional, well-supported estimate presentations

  • Provide value options aligned with project goals

  • Build confidence through clear communication of assumptions and risks

Developing the Preconstruction Team

  • You will help strengthen team capability and improve estimating standards across the department.

  • Coach and mentor estimators and preconstruction staff

  • Support adoption of standardized tools, templates, and workflows

  • Improve accuracy, efficiency, and collaboration across the team
