Job description

WHO WE ARE
TWENTY2 is a high-end private label wallpaper and textile production company. We help artists and designers bring innovative wallpaper and textile collections and custom projects to life. We're known for our expertise, creativity, high level of customer service, exacting quality standards, and on-time delivery.
We're looking for a detail-oriented, collaborative Production Designer to join our creative team.
This role is a great fit for someone with strong design fundamentals, an eye for technical precision, and a desire to grow in a fast-paced, team-driven studio. You'll take design files and prepare them for production - making sure every detail is accurate, every color is right, and every deadline is met -while supporting the broader design and production teams along the way.
What You'll Do
  • Prepare production-ready files for a range of order types - crops, panels, conversions, repeats, and more - using precise, non-destructive Photoshop techniques
  • Make sure every file meets our color and technical specifications before it goes to print, helping avoid costly rework
  • Catch and troubleshoot file issues early, flagging anything more complex to designers
  • Perform color assessments and edits on customer orders to ensure precise alignment with approved standards
  • Monitor prepress swatches for color accuracy and print clarity, and help flag any equipment or software issues to the Design Manager
  • Keep our digital files and asset libraries organized, following established naming conventions and file structures
  • Handle incoming customer files - downloading, archiving, and organizing them accurately
  • Track job details and statuses in our project management and digital library systems
  • Collaborate with the Production and Design teams to keep schedules and priorities aligned
  • Provide peer-to-peer training and troubleshooting support to fellow team members
  • Help keep the studio clean and organized, including proper handling of physical color samples and reference materials

What We're Looking For
  • 1-2 years of experience in production design or prepress, ideally in a print or manufacturing environment (wallpaper, textiles, or high-end surface design a plus)
  • Strong Photoshop skills, including non-destructive editing, masking, and retouching; familiarity with Illustrator, InDesign, and Google Workspace/Microsoft Office a plus
  • Comfortable using a Wacom tablet for precise digital art work
  • Experience with file management systems and shared network storage a plus
  • A sharp eye for detail, strong organizational habits, and a genuine drive to keep learning about print production and color theory
  • Great communication and problem-solving skills - you ask questions when something's unclear and speak up when you spot an issue

Studies have shown that marginalized communities, such as women, LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC, are less likely to apply to jobs unless they meet every single qualification. Don't meet all the requirements listed? Please apply anyway if this role excites you and you are eager to learn. At TWENTY2, passion, dedication, and curiosity are the most important factors for success. Please ask about on-the-job training opportunities when applying.
At TWENTY2, our culture is grounded in collaboration, curiosity, and purpose. We value open communication, cross-functional teamwork, and a commitment to continuous innovation. Our team is united by a dedication to reliability, inclusivity, and environmental responsibility, with a shared focus on making a meaningful impact for our partners and our community.
TWENTY2 revolves around creativity, so we value engaging employees who enhance our company culture. If you would like to identify your creative type check out the Adobe quiz at mycreativetype.com. We would love to hear about your results!
