Description

The Landscape Construction Project Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, ensuring staffing, budgeting and executing high-end residential and commercial landscape construction projects. This role requires a strong understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and luxury outdoor elements and design. Oversee client relationships and contracts to ensure deliverables meet quality standards and organizational expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution

Lead the pre-construction planning process, including scheduling, budgeting, and material procurement.

Develop and manage detailed project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.

Oversee the implementation of high-end hardscapes, custom water features, luxury outdoor structures, and specialty planting installations.

Ensure projects meet design intent, client expectations, and the highest standards of craftsmanship.

Team Leadership & Coordination

Direct and manage on-site teams, subcontractors, and specialty artisans to ensure smooth project execution.

Serve as the primary point of contact between clients, designers, engineers, and field teams.

Foster a high-performance culture that prioritizes precision, efficiency, and excellence.

Quality Control & Problem-Solving

Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications, construction standards, and safety protocols.

Identify and proactively resolve construction challenges, site constraints, and design modifications.

Uphold strict quality control measures to exceed industry standards in material selection and installation techniques.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

Maintain strong relationships with ultra-high-net-worth clients, architects, and consultants.

Communicate project updates, timelines, and progress reports in a clear and professional manner.

Lead on-site walkthroughs, milestone meetings, and final project closeouts with clients and key stakeholders.

Budget & Resource Management

Monitor project costs, change orders, and financial reporting to maintain profitability.

Ensure efficient procurement and logistics for specialty materials and luxury design elements.

Work closely with finance and leadership teams to align budget goals with project execution.

Requirements

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Landscape Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience managing high-end landscape construction projects.
  • Expertise in hardscape installation, grading, drainage, planting, irrigation, and luxury outdoor features.
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and high-end finish details.
  • Proven ability to lead diverse teams, coordinate multiple trades, and deliver projects on schedule.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to evolving project challenges.
  • Proficiency in construction management software, AutoCAD, and scheduling tools (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam).
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with client-facing experience in high-end projects.
