POSITION TITLE: Paste Packaging Clerk

HOURS: M-F 6:00am – 2:30pm

POSITION SUMMARY:

Join Fusion Inc., the global leader in brazing and soldering automation and innovation since 1933! We're not just packaging paste - we're delivering high-quality brazing and soldering alloys that help manufacturers worldwide create stronger, more reliable products.

As a Paste Packaging Clerk on our Plant 2 team, you'll take center stage dispensing and expertly packaging our premium paste alloys. You’ll ensure orders are hitting target weights and accurately labeled with flawless consistency every time. From setting up equipment and remixing batches to sealing containers, you'll play a key role in our ISO 9001-compliant process while keeping your work area clean, safe, and efficient.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Setup mixing, automatic dispensing equipment, scales, and other equipment.
  • Stage packaging containers and cartons as needed.
  • Remix paste and visually inspect for perfect consistency and appearance
  • Verify paste type and batch ID for each order
  • Prepare accurate labels with material type, batch, and coding details
  • Pack paste to precise target weights, seal, and label containers correctly
  • Box and palletize finished packages; prepare shipping documentation
  • Clean equipment thoroughly and maintain a spotless workspace
  • Operate forklift safely
  • Follow ISO 9001 standards, our Quality Policy, and all safety protocols—plus spot chances for continuous improvement!
  • Perform other duties as assigned or directed.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Strong math skills, including elementary algebra and conversions
  • Ability to lift/move heavy objects (manually or with equipment like hand forklifts)
  • Certified/able to operate a forklift truck
  • Solid reading comprehension for following written instructions
  • Commitment to accurate, legible paperwork and attention to detail
