Job description

1st shift and 2nd shift available Pay $16-$17 an hour

Job description:

Anchor Fabrication is a precision metal fabrication company located in Denton, Texas, and is seeking experienced Press Brake Operators for the 1st and 2nd shift.

Qualified candidates will be self-motivated and work with limited supervision, setting up and operating a Press Brake to bend, form, and straighten metal stock according to blueprint or specifications.

Duties and Functions:

  • Set up and operate all machine types in the Brake Department.
  • Read blueprints and conduct first/last piece inspection.
  • Apply knowledge of metal properties to bending operations.
  • Perform clerical and labor reporting duties.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • May be required to work overtime or different shift than originally assigned based on company needs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • 5 years minimum experience in the sheet metal fabrication industry preferred.
  • Blueprint reading
  • Good math skills
  • G/D & T Knowledge and must pass test.
  • Amanda and Trumpf Brake experience a plus.
  • Epicor experience a plus.

Education:

  • High School or Equivalent
  • Technical School Experience a plus
