About the role โ€” Katy, TX

Join our manufacturing team as a Precision Machining Operations Technician on 2nd shift. Youโ€™ll be the go-to person ensuring machines are set up correctly, running at peak efficiency, and producing parts that meet tight tolerances. If troubleshooting and fine-tuning equipment is your strength, this role puts those skills front and center.

A day in the life
  • Prepare and run production by setting up CNC lathes, manual lathes, grinders, presses, and related equipment.
  • Dial in setups for new and repeat jobs to achieve optimal cycle times and superior part quality.
  • Quickly diagnose and correct equipment malfunctions to keep output on schedule and minimize downtime.
  • Apply shop math to determine dimensions, tolerances, and offsets required by the print.
  • Capture accurate production counts, downtime reasons, and machine performance data in our ERP software.
  • Keep your supervisor and teammates updated on status, needs, and any risks to schedule.
  • Verify parts using calipers, micrometers, and optical comparators to confirm all specifications are met.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area while following established safety procedures.
