SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Develop, evaluate, and improve complex manufacturing process plans utilizing knowledge of product design, materials, fabrication processes, tooling, equipment capabilities, assembly methods and quality standards. Work collaboratively with all functional groups (including the Manufacturing group, NPI Engineering group and the Equipment Engineering group) to provide solutions while effectively managing process, policy, and strategy changes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Develop detailed process routings using an automated manufacturing software system.
  • Develop complex Bill of Material structures using an automated manufacturing software system.
  • Estimate manufacturing cycle times.
  • Prepare cost estimates for customers.
  • Construct Manufacturing and Assembly drawings using electronic CAD drawing system.
  • Conceptualize and create designs for cutting tools, shop aids, fixtures, and test support tools.
  • Confer with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for the purchase of parts or services.
  • Work on cross functional teams for process improvement and cost reduction.
  • Project management.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.
  • Comply with applicable environmental, health and safety laws and regulations, Company policy and accepted safe work practices.
  • Understand the importance of designing, building, and operating safe systems. Basic knowledge and understanding of basic safety work processes such as JSA’s and MOC’s.
  • Demonstrate commitment in the successful EH&S management of chemical processes and facilities.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering field, or 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to apply concepts of algebra, geometry, and trigonometry for product definition
  • Ability to produce graphical representations of problems and solutions
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to effectively speak, present information, and respond to questions in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, and legal documents.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Semiconductor industry experience strongly desired
  • Experienced in SolidWorks (a plus)
  • Experience working with ASME GD&T.

  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
  • Close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to differentiate shades and color to identify defects.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT OF THE JOB:

  • Low noise levels in office environment.
  • Occasional moderate noise levels and working near moving mechanical parts.
  • Fast paced.
