Responsibilities
As a Software Engr II, within our Next-Generation Avionics (NGA) group, you will join a team responsible for the design, architecture and deployment of cutting-edge Avionics Display System solutions. As part of the Flight Displays software team, you will have responsibilities across the design, development, software integration and verification of Core Displays to be hosted on the Anthem Next Generation Avionics Platform.
The Next Generation Avionics (NGA) Flight Displays Platform team is at the forefront of developing innovative solutions that enhance the situational awareness and decision-making capabilities of pilots.
As a flagship product, the Anthem Integrated Flight Deck System is not just another avionics product; it is a visionary endeavor that employs cutting-edge technologies to redefine how pilots interact with flight information and aircraft systems.
Key Responsibilities
  • You will work closely with a passionate team of engineers and designers to create and implement forward-thinking software solutions for our cutting-edge Avionics Flight Display Systems.
  • Support the design, development and implementation of robust, high-quality software solutions for cutting-edge Flight Display System platforms, services and/or applications, ensuring high performance, reliability, and functionality
  • Craft and implement high-level code, ensuring our technology is both robust and user-friendly
  • Create test cases for software based upon use cases derived from the system and software requirements
  • Participate in the complete software development lifecycle, from concept through implementation and verification
  • Enjoy increasing ownership of software modules, deliver innovative features, implement functionalities and contribute to the overall advancement of technology.

Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as Engineering, Software, or Computer Science degree
  • Minimum of 1.5 years of embedded software development experience
  • Competence in programming, with preference to languages such as C/C++ Python, Open GL, Vulkan etc.
  • Object oriented development experience

WE VALUE
  • Understanding of software development lifecycles (DO-178C preferred), methodologies and tools.
  • Experience in complex system integration projects
  • Experience with Avionics products is of a PLUS i.e. Displays & Graphics, Flight Mgmt, Flight Planning, Flight Controls, Flight Displays (PFD), Traffic Collision Avoidance (TCAS), Crew Alert Messaging (CAS), Terrain, Radios, etc
  • Knowledge of software change management practices
  • Knowledge of software certification requirements and documentation
  • Passion for innovation and continuous learning
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail
