Wachter is seeking an Elite Data Cable Technician to join our premier low-voltage team on a long-term project involving advanced robotics and cutting-edge conveyor systems. This is a unique opportunity for a "road warrior" to join an exclusive group of technicians—if you have the drive, we will even pay for your climbing school, certification, and gear.

Core Responsiblitlies:
  • Precision Installation: Install structured cabling (CAT5e and Fiber Optic) with extreme neatness and adherence to bundling safety regulations.
  • High-Altitude Maneuvering: Expertly operate boom and scissor lifts to reach tight areas and heights.
  • On-the-Job Learning: Expand your skills with OJT for CCTV, IP Video, Physical Access Control, and Wireless LAN infrastructure.
  • Collaboration: Work in harmony with multiple trades to meet tight timelines and project scopes.
  • Safety First: Strictly adhere to Wachter, customer, and OSHA safety standards.
What You Bring to the Team:
  • Technical Expertise: Proven experience with CAT5e, fiber optics, and networking.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with NEC, TIA/EIA, and BICSI standards. (Certs like Systimax, Panduit, or Corning are a huge plus!)
  • Field Skills: Ability to read blueprints/site maps; conduit installation experience is a plus.
  • Soft Skills: Strong people skills and the ability to thrive under tight deadlines.
  • Tools & Mobility: You own basic telecom tools/PPE and have reliable transportation.
Schedule and Travel Requirements:
  • Road Warrior Spirit: Must be available for extensive travel (6–8 weeks at a time).
  • Ultimate Flexibility: Willing to work on-call, early mornings, nights, and weekends as project requirements shift.
  • Driving Record: Valid driver’s license with a clean record (no DUI/DWI within the last 3 years).
