Hire type: Full-Time / Security Guard - unarmed

Shift: Multiple Shifts

Pay Range: $17.5 - $19 /hr

Has been in business continuously for over a century. Founded in 1905, we are a precious metals refiner and manufacturer of copper alloys.

**Purpose:**The in-house Security Officer assures a safe and secure manufacturing and operational environment. Duties include guarding, patrolling, and monitoring the premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of Plant rules. Patrols premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure all doors and gates are secured. Responds to alarms and investigates disturbances. Monitors and authorizes entrance and departure of employees, visitors, contractors, and truck drivers. Security Officers are also responsible for assisting in identifying truck drivers and ensuring their vehicles are properly on the scale to be weighed. Circulates among visitors, patrons, and employees to preserve order and protect property. Warns persons of rule infractions or violations, and reports the violators to their respective supervisors. Operates detection devices to screen individuals and prevent the passage of prohibited articles into or out of restricted areas. Follows security procedures and improves on processes.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Building and maintaining customer and employee relations.
  • Providing customer service and patrolling the facility and parking lots.
  • Scanning employees in and out of the facility.
  • Administrate safety equipment and log.
  • Administrative assignments data entry, documented process improvements.
  • Responsible for policy and procedure development.
  • Fire/life safety/security alarm response.
  • Conduct emergency response drills and training with all staff.
  • Providing customer service to the highest level possible.

Job Requirements:

  • Proof of vaccination against COVID-19 (Preferred)
  • College or Higher Education preferred.
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • 2+ year of experience in security preferred.
  • Active PERC card
  • Security Officer licensure/certification is also acceptable.
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams).
  • Bi-Lingual (Spanish and English) preferred

Experience Required

  • 1+ years ( 2 years or more preferred)

Education Required

  • High School Degree or equivalent

Job Status

  • Full Time - DAY/Weekends (24/7 facility)
