Job description

Bilingual Spanish & English Precast Yard Laborer

Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour


Summary

The Bilingual Spanish & English Precast Yard Laborer is responsible for labeling, wrapping, and tagging cast stone concrete products before transport to job sites. This role involves assisting with the production and finishing of precast concrete products using a variety of hand and power tools. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.


Essential Responsibilities

  • Perform tasks assigned by the Foreman involving the production of precast products, including finishing poured concrete surfaces.
  • Assist the yard crew with sandblasting, patching, and acid etching of concrete products.
  • Load and assemble concrete products.
  • Operate a front-end loader when required.
  • Maintain an organized, clean yard, removing debris and performing general maintenance.
  • Perform snow removal, shoveling, and salting as needed during winter months.
  • Assist with crane rigging and signaling for drivers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Production & Pace

  • Demonstrate strong work performance and accountability.
  • Maintain a consistent and efficient work pace, keeping up with the team’s standard.


Required Skills and Experience

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English.
  • Ability to lift to 50 pounds multiple times per day.
  • Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills.
  • Willingness and aptitude to learn to operate equipment such as cranes, forklifts, skid loaders, and yard trailers.
  • Ability to climb ladders and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Safety-conscious when operating all equipment.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.


Schedule

  • 1st Shift: Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays as needed.
  • Start Time: 6:00 a.m. until the job is completed.
