Job description

Position Summary:
Hall Automotive is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented part-time Emissions Inspector to perform state-required vehicle emissions inspections in accordance with Wisconsin regulations. This role supports our service department by ensuring vehicles meet compliance standards while delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced dealership environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform Wisconsin state emissions inspections accurately and efficiently
• Operate emissions testing equipment and inspection software
• Verify vehicle information and inspection eligibility prior to testing
• Record results and issue inspection documentation as required by the state
• Notify service advisors of failed inspections and any observed concerns
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the inspection area and equipment
• Follow all safety procedures and dealership policies
• Provide professional, courteous customer service
• Assist with basic service lane or shop support tasks as needed
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Frequent bending, squatting, and reaching
Qualifications:
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
• Basic automotive knowledge and comfort working around vehicles
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
