A RedHat Pre-Sales Engineer (or Solutions Architect) is the vital bridge between a company's sales team, end client, and its technical engineering departments. They act as the primary technical subject matter expert, translating complex client business needs into tailored, scalable technology solutions.
Core Responsibilities
Lead technical discovery sessions to uncover a prospect’s pain points and specific business requirements.
Design and deliver highly customized product demonstrations and presentations that prove a product's value and ROI.
Draft technical narratives, Scopes of Work (SOW), and detailed responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and RFIs.
Manage and support technical product trials or PoCs to ensure a seamless technical evaluation for the prospect/client.
Work directly with Account Executives to strategize sales approaches and close deals.
Collaborate with internal delivery and engineering teams to ensure the proposed architecture is feasible, scalable, and accurately priced.
