Job description

Survalent Technology is seeking a versatile, energetic, and highly motivated individual to join our Sales team. The Pre-Sales Engineer will play a key role in partnering with Sales to identify the right technology solutions for both prospects and existing customers. This role bridges technical expertise with sales, focusing on understanding customer needs, analyzing requirements, and delivering effective, functional solutions to our North American customer base. Key Responsibilities: * Preparing product and solutions presentations involving a combination of technologies * Delivering solutions and value presentations to a mixed audience of technical, management staff, and business users * Deliver Roadmap presentations on product direction and industry trends * Assisting in technical and functional RFI/RFPs and other client requests for written responses * Brainstorming sessions with customers and prospects on using various Survalent technologies in combination with industry solutions to solve real-world problems.  * High-level executive presentations will be required therefore proficiency in concisely delivering deeply technical solutions to non-technical executives are required.  * Contributing to account planning and sales strategy development with corresponding Field personnel.  * Acting as a company liaison on specific technical projects with customers.  * Maintain and manage demonstration images and environments of all Survalent solutions.  * Handle all escalation of technical issues reported by customers to Sales  * Organizing and conducting Proof of Concept evaluations and Pilot projects. * Upon request from the sales teams, travel to the current and potential customer’s sites to support Survalent’s sales efforts * Assist sales in the communication of pre-sales specifications to the order entry or implementation teams once contracts have been awarded  * Comply with Survalent’ s ISO/IEC 27001:2022 Information Security Management System (ISMS) Policy. * Comply with Survalent’ s ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS) Policy. * Other duties as assigned. Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities * Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and experience in engineering, information systems, or business administration * Experience in the utility or energy industry preferred * Experience in SCADA, OMS, DMS, DERMS, or ADMS applications * 5 years of experience in presales, solution engineering, or consultative roles supporting sales engagements and solution development * Proven technology skills, outstanding interpersonal abilities, and strong written and verbal communication skills * Attention to detail, plus analytical and problem-solving capabilities * Positive, service-oriented personality * Must be able to travel approximately 50% of the time and can vary based on seasonality within the United States and Canada This is a full-time permanent position reporting to the Director, Presales & Customer Enablement.
