Aquatech has an immediate need for a full-time Water Treatment Operator to work in our Spring Hill, Florida, location. The Water Treatment Operator will report to the O&M Manager, perform the duties described in the job description below, and be considered a non-exempt employee.

The ideal candidate will have good communication skills, be organized, have the ability to interpret instructions, and have an attention to detail. The candidate will have prior experience working in industrial water treatment plants.

Minimum Qualifications / Experience:

  • Experienced in operating and maintaining industrial water treatment plants involving at least some of the following: Pre-treatment (PT), Demineralization (DM), Reverse Osmosis (RO), Dissolved Aeration Flotation (DAF), Digestors, Waste water treatment units.
  • Knowledge and experience in chemical processes involved in Pre-Treatment, Demineralization, and Wastewater treatment
  • This is a safety-sensitive position and will requireย a pre-employment 5 Panel Test.
Job Description:
  • Monitor the plant operation
  • Keep records of operation
  • Carry out quality checks and chemistry control
  • Report any abnormalities to the local supervisor
  • Loading and unloading of consumable chemicals
  • Loading of outgoing treated water into the trucks
  • Monitor filter press operation
  • Coordinate sludge storage and movement
  • Assist plant operators in collecting water samples
  • Assist in the maintenance of the plant on a required basis
  • Other Duties as assignedย 
Skill Requirements:
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and maintain a positive attitude and good organizational skills
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Ability to be hands-on and to carry out tasks with minimal monitoring.
