Internship Purpose

The Business Administration Internship provides students and aspiring professionals with a

comprehensive understanding of how a growing service-based business operates. Interns will rotate

through every department, participate in meaningful business projects, and receive mentorship from

experienced professionals.

Our goal is to prepare future leaders by helping them develop practical skills that cannot be learned solely in the classroom. Each intern will learn the following skills listed below:

Department Rotations

Unlike many internship programs, interns at Crenshaw Janitorial will gain exposure to every

major department within the company.

Administration

Interns will assist with:

-Filing systems and record management

-Business document creation (SOPs and other policy manuals

-Office organization and administrative workflow improvements

Human Resources

Interns will gain experience with:

-Resume screening recruiting

-Interview scheduling employee onboarding

-Employment compliance personnel files

-Retirement plan education

Operations

Responsibilities include:

-Scheduling cleaning crews and route planning

-Supply management and daily operations cost

-Customer communication and quality inspections

Finance

Interns will learn:

-QuickBooks basics and payroll fundamentals

-Invoicing, budgeting preparation, and expense tracking

-Financial organization which includes profit and loss reporting

Business Development

Interns will participate in:

-Networking events and developing vendor relationships

-Strategic business growth initiatives and government contracting opportunities

-Market research regarding various community partners and their partnerships

Leadership Exposure

Interns will be invited to:
