Job description

EHC is looking for a Project Manager for a Client in the Houston Area

Department: Operations / Project Management

Reports To: Director of Operations

FLSA Status: Exempt

Location: Magnolia, Texas (On-site) with periodic travel

Position Summary

The Project Manager oversees the planning, coordination, and execution of industrial and

commercial building construction projects across the Southwest, Plains, and Rockies. This

role is responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in full

alignment with contract requirements, design specifications, and safety standards. The

Project Manager works closely with clients, engineers, superintendents, subcontractors, and

company leadership to deliver high-quality, well-managed projects from start to finish.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of assigned projects, including design, scheduling, budgeting,

procurement, and closeout.

• Lead and coordinate meetings with clients, design teams, subcontractors, and internal

staff.

• Oversee and support Project Engineers and Superintendents to ensure field operations

align with project goals.

• Review design and construction documents for accuracy, conformance, and

constructability.

• Develop and issue RFIs, RFPs, and bid packages; evaluate proposals, negotiate terms,

and award contracts.

• Monitor project progress and financial performance; track and report associated costs

to upper management.

• Conduct regular site visits and issue progress reports to clients and leadership.

• Manage submittal, change order, and shop drawing processes; ensure accurate

documentation and timely resolution.

• Coordinate project closeout activities, including punch lists, warranties, O&M manuals,

and final documentation.

• Maintain strict adherence to safety, quality, and schedule requirements across all

project activities.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience managing construction projects, preferably in

industrial or commercial building environments.

• Demonstrated experience with pre-engineered metal buildings (PEMB) and multi-story

structural projects.

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field (preferred, but not

required).

• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple

projects simultaneously.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Microsoft

Project.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interface with clients,

subcontractors, and executive leadership.

• Ability to travel 30% for jobsite monitoring and coordination as required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing design-build or ground-up industrial construction projects.

• Knowledge of contract administration, cost tracking, scheduling, and project forecasting.

• Proficiency with Procore or other construction management software tools.

• Experience in renewable energy, data centers, or O&M facility construction.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

Work is primarily performed in an office setting with regular visits to active construction

Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with flexibility as needed to meet project demands.
