Ensure designs comply with applicable codes (IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, AISI, MBMA) and project-specific requirements.

Optimize designs for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and manufacturability while maintaining structural integrity.

Evaluate and design modifications for existing structures when necessary.

Technical Collaboration & Support:

Work closely with drafting and detailing teams to ensure accurate representation of engineering intent in shop drawings and erection plans.

Provide guidance to project managers, sales, and customer service teams on technical feasibility and design constraints.

Support field service teams with structural clarifications and issue resolution during construction.

Quality & Compliance:

Conduct design checks and peer reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Assist in developing and refining engineering standards, tools, and best practices.

Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action processes for engineering-related errors.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation:

Stay up to date with advancements in metal building design, materials, and construction methods.

Contribute to the development and implementation of automation tools, design optimizations, and process improvements.
