Project Manager – Lead Complex Commercial & Industrial Metal Building Builds

Job Overview:

  • Company: TBT Construction Services Inc.

  • Salary/Pay Rate: $70,000 - $90,000 per year plus Performance Bonus.

  • Location: Columbia Station, OH (Onsite).

  • Job/Employment Type: Full-Time.

  • Schedule: Monday – Friday.

  • Project Scope: High-complexity Commercial and Industrial PEMB and Steel projects.

  • Mandatory Licenses & Certifications: Valid Driver's License.

The Opportunity: You will serve as a leadership powerhouse, transforming complex blueprints into structural masterpieces while mastering projects from initial scheduling to final walkthrough. This role offers the autonomy to drive firm profitability and strategic growth within a family-owned company that values integrity and technical excellence. You are the critical link ensuring that every "stack of steel" becomes a high-quality reality for our clients.

How You Will Make an Impact:

  • Lead projects from concept through completion, serving as the primary liaison between clients, internal crews, and subcontractors.

  • Develop detailed project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation plans to ensure maximum operational efficiency.

  • Direct field superintendents and crews to meet critical milestones while auditing site safety and workmanship.

  • Track project expenditures and negotiate change orders to protect and maximize overall project profitability.

  • Manage crane mobilization and bolt-up sequences, ensuring precision in PEMB and heavy industrial steel erection.

  • Oversee the final project closeout, including punch lists, warranties, and as-built documentation delivery to the client.

  • Mentor Assistant Project Managers and field leaders to foster a culture of accountability and high craftsmanship.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction management or general contracting (8+ years preferred).

  • Deep technical knowledge of PEMB systems, including crane mobilization and structural steel alignment.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple crews while navigating strict OSHA fall protection and safety standards.

  • Strong proficiency in project management methodologies and Microsoft Office products.

  • Possession of a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for frequent site visits.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field of study.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

  • Advanced experience with Unanet or similar construction project management and accounting software.

  • Established track record of managing projects over $1M in the commercial or industrial sector.

  • Expertise in building codes, local permitting processes, and accessibility requirements.

  • Professional certifications in project management or safety (PMP, OSHA 30, etc.).
