Our work includes commercial construction, tenant improvements, HVAC equipment power, building automation and controls, lighting systems, industrial equipment, electrical distribution, troubleshooting, and emergency electrical services.

We are seeking a dependable and experienced Journeyman Electrician who takes pride in producing safe, professional, code-compliant work.
The Journeyman Electrician will perform commercial and industrial electrical installations, repairs, upgrades, and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate can work independently, read construction drawings, coordinate with project supervisors and other trades, and complete assigned work safely and efficiently.

Projects may include schools, office buildings, medical facilities, industrial facilities, mechanical equipment replacements, building automation systems, and tenant improvements. Work may occasionally be performed during early mornings, nights, weekends, or scheduled shutdowns.

Responsibilities

* Install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot commercial and industrial electrical systems.
* Read and interpret electrical plans, specifications, single-line diagrams, panel schedules, and control drawings.
* Install EMT, rigid metal conduit, PVC, flexible conduit, cable tray, wire, and electrical equipment.
* Bend and install conduit accurately and professionally.
* Pull, label, splice, and terminate branch-circuit and feeder conductors.
* Install panels, transformers, disconnect switches, breakers, lighting controls, receptacles, fixtures, and related equipment.
* Provide electrical power for HVAC equipment, motors, pumps, VFDs, control panels, and building automation systems.
* Perform equipment shutdowns, lockout/tagout procedures, circuit tracing, and electrical troubleshooting.
* Coordinate work with general contractors, mechanical contractors, controls contractors, inspectors, customers, and other trades.
* Verify installations comply with project drawings, specifications, the National Electrical Code, and applicable local requirements.
* Maintain accurate records of labor, materials, field conditions, and completed work.
* Keep company vehicles, tools, equipment, and work areas clean and organized.
* Follow all company and jobsite safety requirements.
* Direct and assist apprentices when assigned.
* Communicate project issues, material needs, and potential change-order work to the project supervisor.

Required Qualifications

* Valid California General Electrician Certification.
* At least four years of commercial or industrial electrical experience.
* Strong knowledge of commercial and industrial electrical systems.
* Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and specifications.
* Experience bending and installing EMT and rigid conduit.
* Experience installing feeders, branch circuits, panels, disconnects, transformers, and mechanical equipment power.
* Ability to troubleshoot electrical circuits and equipment.
* Knowledge of the National Electrical Code and safe electrical work practices.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a project team.
* Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
* Ability to provide standard electrician hand tools.
* Ability to lift materials, climb ladders, operate lifts, and work in indoor and outdoor environments.
* Ability to pass applicable pre-employment screening requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with HVAC equipment, VFDs, motors, pumps, chillers, boilers, air-handling units, and building automation systems.

* Scissor-lift and boom-lift certifications.
