Pre Admission Testing (PAT) refers to the medical evaluations and tests that patients undergo before being admitted for surgery or certain medical procedures. These tests can include blood work, EKGs, chest X-rays, and a review of medical history to ensure the patient is fit for anesthesia and surgery. The goal is to identify and address any potential health risks to minimize complications during or after the procedure. PAT helps medical teams prepare personalized care plans and improves patient safety.
