The Prayer & Care Specialist will report directly to the Manager of Prayer Initiatives and will be responsible for answering and responding to prayer requests from Prayer & Care Line and digital entities. The Prayer & Care Specialist's main responsibility is to pray and intercede for all incoming prayer requests and serve as a motivated team member, able to work alone or with other volunteers; responding appropriately to all prayer request received from our brand markets.


Essential Functions:


 Prayer & Care: 

  •  Creates quality responses within production goals with excellent verbal and written skills in HMG style
  •  Responsible for recording and entering data in various applications
  •  Work alongside other volunteers for the functions of the Prayer & Care
  •  Responds to inbound and outbound phone calls and other type of contacts associated with Prayer & Care
  •  Communicates in complex emotional situations, accountable for legal and ethical boundaries in response
  • Receive and pray for concerns and requests from individuals in HMG brand base
  •  Responsible for follow up calls to previous callers of the Prayer & Care Line
  • Attend Training events
  • Maintain confidentiality


Administration: 

  • Responsible for maintaining an accurate report of incoming prayer requests 
  • Responsible for meeting periodically with Manager of Prayer Initiatives and Prayer & Care Coordinators 
  • Dedicated to serving with Prayer & Care volunteers
  • Attend weekly Level 10 meeting
  • Attend biweekly Hope Huddle meetings
  • Assist in Bible Mailings and prayer events as needed


Demonstrated Faith: 

  • Committed to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Grounded spiritually and biblically literate
  • Comfortable praying for co-workers in team meetings, leading spoken prayer, and participating in ministry prayer meetings and Bible studies
  • Live Christian principles defined by the ministry's Statement of Faith & Biblical Beliefs
  • Participate in on-air fundraisers and prays for donors as needed
  • Passion for leveraging the HMG's media platforms for evangelism and discipleship
  • Exhibit a strong moral character
  • Active member of a Bible believing local church

Requirements

Requirements and Qualifications:


Education:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

Experience:

  • 2-3 years' experience preferred in Prayer related field

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Creative and enthusiastic, team player
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills
  • Effective writing skills and excellent grammatical usage and style
  • Excellent interpersonal skill
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Access and Google tool applications
