Student Employee-Medical Assisting TA
Position Summary:
Student Employees are eligible to work on campus in a part time capacity according to Ensign College Student Employment Policy. In addition to fulfilling this purpose, each employee continuously strives to bring about the mission of Ensign College, which is to develop capable and trusted disciples of Jesus Christ.
Hours: 15-19 hours a week during semester and the starting wage for all student employees is $14.00 per hour with the possibility of $.25 rate increase each semester of continued work based on merit.
Specific Summary of Duties:
  • Be responsible and professional.
  • Dress appropriately for the position. Scrubs and close toed shoes if in the lab preferred.
  • Always represent the program.
  • Work side by side with the program chair.
  • Support the practicum coordinator and lab manager.
  • Enter Program's data on the MAERB's spreadsheet.
  • Work with the program chair on case studies and practicum paperwork.
  • Help the HP instructors with Canvas if needed.
  • Work during class and open lab hours.
  • Be on time for class, organize the lab for the students.
  • Help with inventory, restock, scanning, printing, copies, help with competency paperwork, clean lab counters and tables.
  • Help with other clinical and administrative duties as needed.
  • Be proactive.
  • Attend lab training.
  • Assist the students alongside the instructor and lab manager.
  • Help with other HP classes if needed.
  • Attend devotional.

Job Qualification:
  • Must complete and pass HP 210/212.
  • Ability to produce effective written correspondence through email and other written communication.
  • Have the ability to communicate effectively, listen and respond appropriately.
  • Highly self-motivated, hard worker, creative, and has a great attention to detail.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with the supervisor, team members, faculty, and staff.
  • Ability to solve problems and ask for clarification as needed.
  • Proficient in Office 365 and Canvas.
