Urgent Care Veterinarian - Providence, RI
A veterinary practice is seeking an Urgent Care Veterinarian to join its dedicated clinical team. This opportunity is ideal for a veterinarian who enjoys managing urgent medical cases in a fast-paced environment while delivering compassionate, high-quality care to companion animals.
Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide range of urgent medical conditions in canine and feline patients.
  • Perform urgent care procedures and minor surgical interventions within the scope of practice.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and communicate recommendations to pet owners.
  • Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure efficient patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records using electronic medical record systems.
  • Provide compassionate client communication and education throughout the treatment process.
  • Participate in continuing education and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Uphold high standards of medical care, patient safety, and client service.
Qualifications
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
  • Active or eligible veterinary license in the state of practice.
  • Strong clinical decision-making, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage urgent medical cases in a fast-paced clinical setting.
