Wilson Health is looking for a direct hire Wilson Health Medical Group - CMA/LPN for our location in Piqua, Ohio (North Dayton, Ohio) area.

Employment Status: FULL TIME, Piqua/Sidney locations, and other WHMG Medical Office locations.
Working Hours: 40 hours a week - (80 hours per pay period)
Shift: 1st shift - NO weekends, NO holidays.
Hours: Monday - Friday - 6:45am - 5:30pm (8-10 hour shifts) - Days, Hours and location WILL vary
Position Reports to: WHMG Manager Practice Manager
Department Description: Wilson Health Medical Group network consists of more than 50 healthcare providers. Our physicians and Advanced Practice Providers offer the care to meet our communities medical needs with offices conveniently located throughout the region.
Job Summary: The CMA/LPN is the key individual that is in a position to make a positive first impression with patients and members of their families on the telephone and face-to-face.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Performs all duties under the supervision of the physician, and within the guidelines established by the physician; anticipates duties that need to be performed and strives to make the physician as efficient and effective as possible.
  • Greets patients in courteously, and assists patients to the examination room in a helpful and compassionate manner; conducts self according to ASPIRE values.
  • Obtains and accurately records vital signs, chief complaint, current medications and allergies.
  • Assists physician with examinations, including blood draws, lab specimens, injections, electrocardiograms; assists physician with minor surgical procedures.
  • Educates patients/family members on topics related to the patient's medical condition and care within the guidelines established by the physician.
  • Documents in the patient's medical record accurately, appropriately, and thoroughly.
  • Assists in ordering diagnostic tests and procedures, and making referrals, including referral tracking documentation in the practice management system.
  • Communicates with patients and family members in a professional and compassionate manner; communicates test results under the guidance and direction of the physician.
  • Performs quality control measures on all appropriate medical testing equipment, refrigerators, sterilizers; properly completes compliance logs regarding quality control.
  • Maintains proper inventory of medical and lab supplies; orders supplies according to established guidelines.
  • Follows all applicable federal and state laws and regulations; follows Wilson Health Medical Group and Wilson Health policies and procedures; always follows HIPAA Privacy and Security Practices.
  • Assists with scheduling patients, faxing and electronic communications, telephone duties, form completion and other clerical duties as needed to maintain an efficient, effective medical office.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • Patient Registration - knowledge or experience with EHR - EPIC
  • Must have prior MEDICAL OFFICE experience
  • Medical Assistant training and previous medical office experience preferred
  • Certified or Registered Medical Assistant CERTIFICATION required
  • Licensed Practical Nurse
  • Computer experience is required
