Job description

Bloomington Medical Services (BMS) is seeking an experienced Medical Practice Manager to lead the daily operations of assigned practices.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys developing teams, partnering with physicians, solving problems, and improving practice performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations, staffing, scheduling, workflows, and patient access.

• Lead, coach, and develop office coordinators, supervisors, and practice staff.

• Partner with physicians and providers to address operational needs and improve performance.

• Monitor staffing, productivity, budgets, collections, expenses, and patient experience.

• Address employee performance concerns and promote accountability.

• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, workflows, and patient service.

• Support regulatory compliance, quality improvement, and organizational initiatives.

Qualifications

• At least two years of medical practice management, medical office supervision, or healthcare operations experience.

• Experience supervising employees and managing day-to-day operations.

• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

• Knowledge of medical practice operations, staffing, scheduling, patient flow, and revenue cycle processes.

• Ability to build effective relationships with physicians, employees, and organizational leaders.

  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required.
  • Experience as a Practice Manager is helpful, but we welcome applications from experienced healthcare supervisors and medical office leaders who are ready to advance.
