Smith Debnam (www.smithdebnamlaw.com) is seeking candidates for a full-time litigation associate position in our Charleston, SC office to assist in the representation of financial service providers and other businesses clients in matters related to foreclosure, commercial litigation, bankruptcy, real property, and compliance. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Entry-level through 5 years’ experience in private practice civil litigation
  • Valid SC Bar license; Dual NC Bar license a plus
  • Strong legal analysis and writing skills.
  • Strong skills and experience in the courtroom. 
  • Ability to effectively delegate to staff. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively.

Ideal candidate’s experience will include:

  • 2-4 years litigation experience in federal, state, and/or bankruptcy courts
  • Preference for in-office work environment
