Job Summary
The Long Island CMMI Process Quality Assurance (PQA) Specialist will identify and participate in process quality assurance initiatives associated with the LI PMO/CMMI framework that affects people, processes, and technology.
Job Responsibilities
  • Prepare a Long Island CMMI-based PQA Plan for each assigned project
  • Track corrective action plans and non-compliance findings to closure
  • Evaluate project process performance and work products against IT PMO processes, standards, and procedures that have been aligned with the CMMI DEV v3.0 framework
  • Identify and develop process improvement opportunities based on PQA audit results, root cause analysis, and lessons learned, documenting them in the Process Asset Library through the Engineering Process Group
  • Provide training and guidance to project teams on performing the CMMI-compliant processes developed for the IT EPMO and in resolving compliance findings

Job Specific Qualifications
  • Associates degree in relevant field of study with a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience; in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience may be considered
  • CMMI DEV v3.0 Associate certification
  • Knowledge of Project Management Practices
  • Strong influencing, interpersonal and multi-tasking skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 suite - Visio, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, SharePoint
  • Implementation and working knowledge of any PPM tool
  • Strong verbal and written communication - and experience communicating with authority on processes
  • Valid US driver's license
  • Department of Energy's regulation 10 CFR 810 is required.
