Job description

As a Territory Manager for Rona Canada stores in the Boucherville, Quebec areas, you will establish relationships with Rona store staff and demonstrate your industry expertise to develop sales results for The Pittsburgh Paints Company (PPC). You will build relationships with DIY customers and Professional contractors, and other end-users of PPC paints and stains to lead top line sales growth. You will work remotely and travel to Rona stores within the territory during the week. You will report to the Regional Sales Manager.

Entry-level sales position.

****The successful candidate will spend approximately 90% of their working time on the road, providing support to RONA stores throughout the Boucherville, QC region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Rona store management teams and associates to drive sales growth plans for PPC.
  • Analyze territory sales performance reports, and develop strategic plans to drive growth, monitor and adjust, working within PPC's CRM (ClientLink).
  • Monitor and report on market and competitive activities.
  • Build brand advocates by delivering training on DIY and Pro products to Rona sales associates.
  • Participate in Major Market Training and road show events as scheduled.
  • Engage all customers with their painting projects, and PPC product support throughout the store, especially within the Paint and Pro desk areas.
  • Conduct weekend and after-hours customer clinics in Rona stores as needed.
  • Ensure Rona's automatic replenishment system is supplying product to support rate of sale, and on-hand inventory counts are accurate by performing cycle counts. If on- hands/on order do not align with rate of sale, then recommend appropriate levels of stock for store staff to order.
  • Identify in-store selling opportunities to secure wing stacks, bulk stacks, end-caps, and stack-outs to create impactful cross-merchandised product displays.
  • Merchandise colour centres, and implement sales aides and Point of Purchase materials for all PPC paint and stain brands.
  • Work with all PPC departments (Account Team, Sales, Marketing, Training, Commercial Excellence, Supply Chain – Distribution Centre and Transportation, Customer Service, Tech Services) to exceed sales goals.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required with 1+ years of sales or account manager experience
  • Lift up to 65lbs, including handling paint, and, on an occasional basis, reset product bays (including moving steel beams and shelving, with assistance from staff).
  • Valid Driver's License.
