Job Title: Power builder Developer

Duration: 12 months with possible extensions

Work Location: Augusta ME

  • PL/SQL; Advanced

Additional Information

PROJECT NAME: MACWIS Background Check

  • The goal of the project is to move from a SACWIS system to a CCWIS system as required by the Federal Government to maintain current levels of funding.
  • Contractors will be given specific assignments separate from state employees, including changes to limit data fixes and upgrade the MACWIS Oracle database from 11GR1 to 12CR2 and upgrade Power builder from version 12.1 to version 2017.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • 10%: Current system is a SACWIS system called MACWIS. Successful candidates will upgrade PowerBuilder in the first quarter of calendar year 2018.
  • 10%: Application is written in PowerBuilder 12 and PL SQL. It has an Oracle 11G back end soon to be converted to Oracle 12C. It utilizes Unix for many functions. Successful candidates will assist as needed in converting from Oracle 11G to Oracle 12CR2.
  • 20%: Successful candidates will implement specific change requests as provided to reduce data fixes and time spent by IT staff performing side tasks.
  • 30%: Successful candidates will implement specific change requests as provided for specified modules of the MACWIS system.
