Job Description

Required Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Strong Object-Oriented Design background including Design Patterns and UML

3-5 years of Java programming and design experience (J2EE, JDBC, JMS, etc)

3-5 years of experience with Java application servers including significant debugging of deployment and operational issues, preferably WebLogic/TCServer

Experience working with Spring frameworks

Demonstrated knowledge and experience working with User Interfaces including web frameworks such as Spring MVC and JSP

Experience working with Web technologies including HTML, javascript, jQuery, CSS

Proficient in UNIX/LINUX and UNIX/LINUX scripting

Proficient in SQL and relational modeling for RDBMs (Oracle, Sql Server,Sybase)

Strong communication and analytical skills with the ability to work with users to gather and understand requirements

Proficient with development tools including Eclipse, Ant, SVN

Capable of working independently as well as an effective team member/leader

Demonstrated experience supporting enterprise production

environments

Experience with unit testing or test driven development


Qualifications

Experience with Object Relational Mapping (ORM) frameworks such as JPA and Hibernate

Familiarity with Agile development methodology (SCRUM)

Previous experience developing in Flex

Previous experience developing in PowerBuilder

Excellent interpersonal and written & oral communication skills
