Job description

We are designing the Grid of the future.

Conduct power system studies and analysis for meeting compliance requirements of existing and future NERC and regional reliability standards. This position will have specific emphasis placed on generating unit modeling and protection setting coordination.


How you can make an impact:

  • Perform detailed bulk power system studies using various power system software such as PSS/E, PSLF, TSAT, ETAP, etc.

  • Conduct IBR modeling: steady state, short circuit and dynamic in PSSE

  • Perform various compliance technical assessments on IBR facility rating, protection coordination, voltage/frequency ride through assessment.

  • Process, generate and maintain data as required for other engineering related studies.

  • Prepare technical study reports for all studies performed.

  • Take responsibility for the timely completion of projects assigned while meeting all project quality and budget objectives.


Bring your passion, here's what’s needed:

  • Bachelor’s (and higher) degree in Electric Engineering with an emphasis in electric power systems

  • 2 - 3 years of experience as a power systems engineer

  • Experience performing power system impact studies such as Steady State, Short Circuit, and Dynamic Stability

  • Experience with power systems software such as PSS/E, PSCAD, TSAT

  • Experience automating/programing in Python

  • Experience leveraging AI and automation tools responsibly to improve quality, productivity and innovation
