Summary:
Under the direction of the Customer Service Manager, the Customer Service Representative will respond to customer inquiries regarding company products and services, process customer phone orders, check availability of stock and shipping dates, quote prices, fill orders to customer specifications, process sales data via computer, and assist the outside sales team by preparing price quotes and sourcing products.
Responsibilities of the
Customer Service Representative - Bearing and Power Transmission include, but are not limited to:
- Responding to customer inquiries regarding company products and services
- Processing customer phone and e-mail orders
- Checking availability of stock and shipping dates
- Quoting prices, filling orders to customer specifications and processing sales data via computer
- Assisting the outside sales team by preparing price quotes and sourcing products
- Assisting with warehouse duties when needed
Qualifications of the
Customer Service Representative - Bearing and Power Transmission include, but are not limited to:
- 1+ year (s) of experience in electrical, hydraulics, pumps, bearings and power transmission, MRO, cutting tools and /or safety products preferred
Foundational understanding of industrial products and their applications, with the ability to assist customers in identifying the right solutions. Prior exposure to technical product lines helps in supporting sales efforts, troubleshooting basic issues, and providing product recommendations.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Able to create and update spreadsheets, prepare documents, manage emails, and efficiently navigate computer-based systems used for quoting, order entry, and customer communication.

Excellent communication skills Able to communicate clearly and professionally across phone, email, and in-person interactions. Comfortable explaining product information, resolving customer issues, and working with internal teams to ensure a smooth customer experience.
- Attentive and highly motivated to learn new product lines
Demonstrates curiosity and willingness to expand product knowledge in a fast-paced environment. Able to retain technical information and apply it to customer needs effectively.
- Prior inside sales/customer service experience preferred
Experience working directly with customers, processing orders, generating quotes, or supporting sales teams is beneficial. Ability to handle inquiries, solve problems, and maintain positive relationships with repeat customers.
- Strong data entry skills; organized, able to multitask, and focused on customer satisfaction
Capable of handling multiple requests at once while maintaining accuracy in orders, pricing, and documentation. Organized approach to workload with a strong commitment to timely, high-quality customer service.
