Job description

KanEquip-Wamego has an opening for a full-time Mobile Diesel Technician to service and repair agriculture and construction equipment in the field.

You will contribute to our team by:

  • Primarily responding to service calls in the field.
  • Using your skills to diagnose equipment to determine repairs needed and/or recommended for continued equipment reliability.
  • Performing electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and diesel repairs on equipment. Responsible for performing quality work and attaining goals for efficiency.
  • Completing all reports and forms for service operations in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Promoting teamwork and communication through effective interaction with team members.
  • Providing excellent customer service and support and promoting further service and support in the field.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic, service technician, field technician, or heavy equipment technician.
  • Mechanic Toolset appropriate for required work.
  • Knowledge and experience of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
  • Acceptable Motor Vehicle status

Qualifications:

  • Associates of Applied Science or Certification in Diesel Technology, Agricultural Power/Technology or Diesel and Heavy Equipment Technology preferred.
  • Able to operate vehicles and equipment used in service shops/on service trucks
  • Ability to work seasonally extended hours during the week or weekends
  • Ability to lift 75 pounds as required without assistance

Compensation:
