Job description

We are seeking experienced Developer with strong knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Field Service or related) to join our Dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing robust solutions that enhance our field service operations, improve customer satisfaction, and drive digital transformation. This role will collaborate closely with a senior developer, product owner, business analyst, project manager, and cross-functional team to deliver robust, scalable, and innovative field service solutions that drive operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

Skills and Abilities: 

  • Understanding of the D365 Field Service module (scheduling board, agreements, customer assets, inventory, mobile app) and the broader Power Platform (Power Automate, PCF, Power BI).
  • Good knowledge of Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum and Kanban.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex data and user feedback for data-driven decision-making.
  • Develop, maintain, and understand documentation related to application management, including, but not limited to, installation, maintenance, upgrades, patching, and support. Ensure systems documentation follows best practices and is up-to-date, accurate, and tested.
  • Good communication, presentation, and the ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical audiences.

Knowledge of:

  • Proficiency in C#, .NET, JavaScript, HTML, Power Platform (Power Automate, PCF), and Azure services.
  • Hands-on experience with D365 customization, configuration, workflows, and business rules.
  • Experience with Azure services (Logic Apps, Functions, Service Bus) and integrating D365 with REST/SOAP APIs, Azure Logic Apps, and Data Export Service.
  • Understanding of field service business processes, scheduling, resource management, and mobile solutions.
  • Proficiency in using DevOps tools for source control, CI/CD, and automated testing.
  • Experience with multiple relational database management systems, understanding how applications use them, along with their security and integrity.
  • Knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and Visio.
  • Knowledge of Cloud-based application technologies, security principles, MS Server Administration tools, and IIS.
  • Knowledge plus on Exchange, SQL, SRS, MS Power Page, Power BI Dashboards and Reports, Oracle Fusion Cloud application and its database, and other related technologies.
  • Experience with mobile Field Service applications and offline capabilities.
  • Experience with platform monitoring and logging for troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team to deliver multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum Education and Certification:

  • 3+ years of experience in software development, with at least 2 years focused on Microsoft D365 Field Service or related.
  • Familiarity with CE  Field Service components such as Work Orders, Scheduling, Asset Management, and Mobile applications.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or related Microsoft D365 certifications.

This role will be working alongside a senior developer. Your day-to-day tasks will include:

  • Development and implementation of customizations, plugins, workflows, integrations, and web resources within the Microsoft D365 Field Service environment.
  • Participate in technical discussions, provide architectural guidance, and set development standards and best practices.
  • Configure and customize D365 Field Service modules, including work orders, scheduling, inventory, assets, and resource management.
  • Integrate D365 Field Service with other Microsoft and Oracle applications using Power Platform, Azure Logic Apps, APIs, Power Platform, and third-party tools.
  • Ensure code quality, security, and best practices through code reviews and technical documentation.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing complex D365 Field Service solutions to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Work closely with a senior developer and product owner to translate technical specifications into solutions.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions, including testing, deployment, and post-implementation support.
  • Actively participate in all Agile/Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives) to deliver solutions to user stories.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service efficiency, technician effectiveness, and report accuracy within the D365 platform. 

Stay up to date with the latest D365 features, roadmap, best practices, and proactively recommend improvements.
