The Quality Control Technician (Inspection)- is responsible for performing inspection responsibilities as required to ensure compliance with drawing specifications and applicable standards. As well as identifying and isolating any material found to be non-conforming until a determination can be made regarding the proper disposition of said material.

This position reports to the inspection supervisor and is part of the Quality and Regulatory Affairs Dept. located in Indianapolis, IN (76th St. location) and will be an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Inspect incoming components/materials in line with pre-defined inspection plans; use appropriate hand gages and equipment as required for individual part inspections

  • Use a CMM machine to run pre-developed programs to inspect incoming material requiring CMM inspection; enter quality data into the proper database to demonstrate the inspection has been successfully completed

  • Record non-conformance data in the applicable database and provide feedback to appropriate personnel when required; electronically transfer material according to its acceptance or rejection status

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Must have a strong mechanical part inspection background with multiple years' experience

  • Ability to read and comprehend part prints with a general understanding of GD&T fundamentals (required)

  • Detail oriented, quality conscious with an aptitude for capturing and maintaining accurate records

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 50 lb.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Experience setting up and running a CMM machine would be a bonus (not required)
