Job description

Location: Pensacola, FL

Salary: $24.00 - 30.00 Per Hour (Non-Exempt)

Summary:

The Install and Service Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of car wash systems, ancillary products and chemicals. This role is also responsible for documenting repair and service, recommending changes to programs and equipment to improve reliability, increase capability, and/or reduce customer costs.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Performs periodic scheduled and preventative maintenance on equipment as assigned by Dispatch.
  • Responsible for accurately troubleshooting chemical, mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment, PLC controllers and power supplies; performs diagnostic analysis.
  • Performs repairs and corrects malfunctions as necessary.
  • Maintains tools, test equipment, and materials in a professional manner.
  • Operate vehicle in a safe and courteous manner, while obeying local laws and regulations.
  • Keep abreast of new developments and innovations leading to improved departmental and company performance.
  • Accurately perceives information from others.
  • Assures appropriate flow of information and reports matters clearly, concisely, and accurately.
  • Installation of new carwash equipment.
  • Removal of old car wash equipment.
  • Unloading and staging of new equipment on job sites.
  • Inspecting equipment prior to installation and documenting any damage occurred during shipment.
  • Provides superior customer service when interfacing with customers.
  • Knowledge of proper use of power tools (i.e. hammer, drill, grinder).

Job Requirements:

Education & Experience

  • 1-3 years field experience.
  • Previous experience with Car Wash Equipment.
  • Strong Mechanical and Plumbing skills.

Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Proficient in MS Office products (Excel, Word, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint).
  • Ability to read and understand electrical diagrams.
  • Understanding of PLC controllers, low voltage control circuits, and three-phase power.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) are a must.
  • Ability to read and comprehend documents and follow simple instructions.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. 
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, climb and use hands to grip regularly.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting.
  • Maintain professional appearance and grooming standards as outlined.
