The Plant Supervisor is responsible for supporting the operation and maintenance of Vistra Corp Power Generation Stations. The position may require some travel in the support of other Vistra Corp Power Generation Stations.

Job Description

Overview:

The Plant Supervisor is responsible for supporting the operation and maintenance of Vistra Power Generating Stations. The position may require some travel.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting all aspects of the day-to-day operation and maintenance of a generating station
  • Accountability can include supervising and directing multi-skill production and maintenance support personnel to achieve maximum reliable and safe operation of the generating units
  • Effectively manage employee/labor relation in accordance with company policies and labor agreements where applicable
  • Ensure and monitor safety and environmental compliance, regulatory compliance, administrative and procedural compliance, and documentation
  • Assist in the coordination and implementation of special projects
  • Supervisor may be asked to respond to emergency call out situations and assist in trouble shooting of system problems
  • Interface frequently with outside vendors and contractors
  • Planning and Scheduling for plant site

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • 5-7 years of power generation plant experience
  • Candidate must be experienced in using Maximo (CMMS).

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with operations of a power plant, particularly plant operator qualified with one year of control operating experience on super-critical, coal-fired units preferred
  • Technical background or Instrumentation/Control background is a plus
  • Power generation plant supervision, leadership, communication, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Good computer skills using Word, Excel, and Outlook

**LEVEL OF POSITION WILL BE DETERMINED BY APPLICABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE.
