Power Generation Sales Representative

We are seeking a self-motivated and results-driven Power Generation Sales Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, nurturing existing client relationships, and promoting our range of generator services to meet sales targets. Target territory will be a split of the state of Illinois as well as NW Indiana. This position will provide a company use cell phone, laptop and vehicle, as well as a base salary with monthly incentives.

Base Salary: $60K-$80K annually, plus monthly incentives. DOE

Job Duties:

  • The primary duties of this position will be to actively promote product sales and service in the assigned territory.
  • Secure product orders from new and existing customers for new equipment sales and service contracts
  • Actively identify and develop new customer contacts to expand market share.
  • Assist customers in solving problems and provide technical support.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with contractors, engineering firms and facility managers to promote Interstate Power Systems products and services.
  • Act as a liaison between the customer and company as needed to ensure that the customer needs are adequately met.

Requirements

  • 4-year degree preferred but not required.
  • 3+ years recent/relevant experience with outside sales
  • Experience in power generation, distribution, industrial and/or heavy equipment a plus
