To thrive as a Power Distribution Engineer Part Time, you need a solid background in electrical engineering, knowledge of power systems, and typically a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field. Familiarity with AutoCAD, GIS mapping systems, and power distribution modeling software, as well as relevant certifications such as a Professional Engineer (PE) license, are commonly required. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication are crucial soft skills for collaborating with teams and addressing client needs.
