Job description

Dura Digital is looking for a Business Intelligence consultant who knows that great analytics starts with strong data models. You care deeply about semantic consistency, performance, and usability; and you're passionate about helping organizations deliver effective BI platforms.


As a Senior Business Intelligence Developer and consultant, you'll play a key role in working with our clients designing and maintaining Power BI data models , supporting the migration of Power BI reports from SQL Server to Snowflake. You'll work closely with data engineers, analytics partners, and project stakeholders to ensure trusted, scalable, and high-performing analytics solutions.

  • Work with project stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into clear, actionable reporting solutions.
  • Optimize DAX measures, calculated columns, and model relationships for performance and clarity.
  • Ensure consistency in metrics, dimensions, and definitions across reports and subject areas.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and reduce technical debt in existing Power BI content.
  • Support data validation and reconciliation efforts during platform migrations.
  • Promote BI best practices including version control, documentation, and deployment workflows.
  • Assist in establishing standards for Power BI development, governance, and lifecycle management.
  • Provide production support for critical BI assets, ensuring reliability and trust in reporting.


WHAT YOU'VE DONE

  • You have a university degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. or equivalent experience.
  • You bring 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics Engineering, or Data Analytics roles.
  • You have deep hands-on experience with Power BI, including:
    • Data modeling
    • DAX
    • Performance optimization
    • Data design for self-service analytics
  • You have strong SQL skills and experience working with SQL Server.
  • You have experience supporting or leading BI migrations (on-prem to cloud and/or platform-to-platform).
  • You've worked with cloud data warehouses, with Snowflake experience strongly preferred.
  • You understand dimensional modeling concepts (e.g., Kimball) and how they apply to BI semantic layers.
  • You're comfortable collaborating with data engineers and analysts.
  • You have experience working in Agile or iterative delivery environments
