Power Automate Intern Jobs in Virginia (NOW HIRING)

The Business Process Intern will support digital transformation initiatives through business process analysis and optimization. This role focuses on reviewing existing workflows, identifying inefficiencies, and recommending improvements that incorporate AI, machine learning, and automation technologies.

The intern will assist in designing and documenting streamlined processes that improve operational efficiency, scalability, and system performance while contributing to enterprisewide process improvement initiatives.

• Review and document existing business processes across multiple departments
• Identify inefficiencies, redundancies, and bottlenecks within workflows
• Research and recommend AIdriven solutions and advanced tools to improve productivity and scalability
• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to understand business requirements and operational constraints
• Assist in developing process improvement proposals, including costbenefit and impact analyses
• Support implementation planning for approved process changes and automation initiatives
• Prepare reports and presentations summarizing findings, insights, and recommendations for leadership

• Complete a capstone project focused on the assigned discipline and present findings to stakeholders during the final week of the program
• Perform additional administrative and projectbased duties as assigned

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); advanced Excel skills preferred
• Ability to research, evaluate, and identify AIdriven tools for process optimization
• Familiarity with process mapping and documentation tools
• Exposure to workflow automation platforms such as Power Automate or Zapier
• Knowledge of AI tools, robotic process automation (RPA), or machine learning concepts
• Basic understanding of integrations with databases or cloudbased services

• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with high attention to detail
• Excellent written, verbal, and group communication skills
• Ability to read, analyze, create, and interpret business documentation and correspondence
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage multiple priorities

• Rising Senior or recent graduate (Class of 2026) pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Data Science 

The Five Guys Internship Program is a paid, handson experience designed for students seeking real exposure to how a fastgrowing, peoplefirst organization operates. Interns work closely with corporate and field teams on meaningful projects, gain insight into daytoday business operations, and develop practical skills that translate directly into a professional career.

Throughout the program, interns receive mentorship, collaborate with leaders, and complete a capstone project presented to leadership—while being treated as a true part of the Five Guys team.
