Job description

Primary Purpose

The Power Platform Administrator is responsible for the administration, governance, and strategic enablement of the Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps,Power Automate, Power Pages, CopilotStudio, and related AI capabilities. This role partners across IT, FinOps, compliance, and business teams to ensure the platform is secure, scalable, cost effective, and aligned with organizational objectives while enabling innovation, automation, and data driven decision making.

This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week onsite at our headquarters in Newton, MA.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end administration of the Power Platform tenant, including development, test, user acceptance, and production environments
  • Implement and maintain the 4-zone environment strategy, including data loss prevention (DLP)policy enforcement, application lifecycle management (ALM) pipelines, and Managed Environments
  • Manage the environment provisioning lifecycle and drive continuous improvements in operations efficiency and service delivery
  • Administer on-premises data gateway patching, monitoring, and security controls
  • Maintain the Center of Excellence (CoE) toolkit and reporting framework to support platform governance and adoption
  • Govern Power Platform assets, including applications, flows, and AI enabled solutions, ensuring compliance with governance standards and remediation of noncompliant assets
  • Enforce FERPA and GDPR obligations across US, UK, and NL environments
  • Identify, prioritize, and resolve governance, security, and compliance issues within the platform environments
  • Drive DLP policy design, Power Pages security hardening, and connector access controls
  • Serve as the primary contact for Power Platform security assessments and audit responses
  • Govern Copilot Studio agents, AI Builder models, and Agent Builder deployments in alignment with enterprise AI strategy and governance requirements
  • Develop and manage capacity allocation and consumption strategies to optimize licensing, utilization and cost efficiency.
  • Define and enforce guardrails for AI agent publishing, data access, and external connector usage
  • Monitor AI-related consumption, flag anomalies, and collaborate with FinOps to optimize licensing and billing
  • Support business units extending D365 via Power Platform for reporting, automation, and integrations
  • Manage Power Platform environments tied to D365 Sales, Customer Service, and related workloads
  • Partner with the D365 team to accelerate the platform maturity curve following the February 2026 launch
  • Enable and govern Power Pages portals connected to D365 environments
  • Provide ALM support and environment guidance to citizen developers and business unit makers
  • Deliver onboarding, training, and best-practice guidance to platform users and makers
  • Review and approve environment, connector and platform requests in alignment with governance policies and standards
  • Collaborate with the Azure team on hybrid connectivity and infrastructure dependencies
  • Partner with the FinOps team to monitor Power Platform licensing spend, capacity utilization, and cost optimization opportunities
  • Identify and resolve licensing, billing and capacity management issues to ensure effective platform operations
  • Produce monthly platform spend and utilization reports for IT leadership

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
    • In lieu of a degree, an additional 3 years of experience may be considered
  • 3 years Power Platform experience (Azure preferred)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience administering Dynamics 365 environments and Power Platform-D365 integrations
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Managed Environments, pipelines for ALM, and advanced DLP configurations
  • Working knowledge of Azure Active Directory, Azure integration services, or on-premises data gateways
  • Experience with FinOps principles and Microsoft licensing optimization (capacity vs. PAYGO models)
  • Hands-on experience with the CoE Starter Kit - deployment, customization, and reporting
  • Exposure to multi-region, multi-regulatory environments (US, UK, EU)

Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $93,000-$123,000. The pay range listed here is what Bright Horizons in good faith anticipates offering for this job opening. Actual compensation offers within this range will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education and training, certifications, geography, and other relevant business or organizational factors.
