Our capabilities at DJS are constantly expanding and currently include CNC machining, full metal fabrication (laser, brake, welding), painting, integrated assemblies and more.

Our facility includes the latest in manufacturing technology and equipment. JOB DESCRIPTION: The Powder Coating Manager oversees all aspects of the powder coating department to ensure efficient, high-quality, and on-time production. This role is responsible for managing personnel, equipment, materials, and processes within a fast-paced, quick change, powder coating operation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Build and establish the powder coating department from the ground up, including equipment selection and developing processes, procedures, and best practices Manage and maintain the daily production schedule to meet customer and internal demand Review, order, and manage powder paint for upcoming custom color jobs Manage inventory levels of standard stock powder colors Schedule and oversee multiple daily color changeovers Oversee all powder coating operations, including washing, powder application, and curing Troubleshoot and resolve issues with washers, powder application systems, and curing ovens Ensure efficient department operations by effectively managing personnel, equipment, and supplies Schedule, manage, and track all preventive maintenance activities Review part quality with supervisors and employees to ensure specifications and standards are met Collaborate on packaging methods to protect powder-coated parts from damage (e.g., scratches) during transfer to the next process Maintain open communication with upstream and downstream departments to support smooth workflow and production continuity Follow and maintain strict adherence to safety regulations/maintain safe work area. Follow all clean-up and housekeeping procedures. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT: Minimum of 5 years of experience managing a powder coating system Strong knowledge of powder coating equipment and processes Proven ability to troubleshoot washers, powder application systems, and curing equipment Prior leadership experience in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment Strong organizational and scheduling skills Experience with inventory management and purchasing Ability to lead and communicate effectively with supervisors and employees Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality Ability to work cross-functionally with other departments High School diploma or GED required Good verbal and written communication skills Excellent attendance Positive, can do attitude OUR REWARDS & RECOGNITION: Joining the Wisconsin Stamping team means forging your career path as part of a successful growing company
