We have a challenging and exciting opportunity for a Production Supervisor who is energetic, can multi-task and problem solve, and has the drive and motivation to learn and grow in a fast-paced setting in an expanding business.Primary Purpose:Oversee and Support Fabrication & Trailer Assembly component processing to meet daily production goals. Supervise Fabricators, Welders, and Trailer Assemblers.Duties / Responsibilities:Promote safe work practices in order to maintain a safe work environment, addressing safety concerns/occurrences in the moment with the appropriate response level (Team Stand Down, Coaching Sessions, and/or Corrective Actions), in accordance with company policy.Maintain high quality production outputs by monitoring Fabrication & Trailer Assembly component processes, verifying component specifications, and performing periodic quality checks (outside of the usual QA checks).Maintain tool inventory (machine/hand tools) and ensure proper tools are being used.Coordinate with other departmental Supervisors and Leads, to reduce the impact of changeovers by proactively setting up for the next unit scheduled.Support problem solving/root causation initiatives within your departments by communicating openly, offering suggestions from your experience/perspective, collaborating with knowledgeable team members, and reaching out for additional support as needed.Monitors, reviews, and reports production results to onsite management.Analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records/reports to determine production requirements in order to evaluate current production estimates/outputs.Foster a positive work environment.Interview potential new hire candidates.Provides onboarding support, assigns position, and ensures employees are cross-trained for maximum production flexibility.Identifies and documents areas of improvement to boost quality and production efficiencies.Provide leadership guidance and support.Evaluate performance and provide feedback, to direct reports, as well as management.Other duties as required and assigned, for coverage, cross training purposes, and professional development.Required Skills / Abilities:Bi-lingual Spanish required.Proficient knowledge/experience with precision measuring devices (Calipers, micrometers, tape measures, etc.).Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Basic knowledge/experience with Microsoft Office.Team leadership skills, with the ability to relate to diverse groups.Adept with decision-making and problem-solving.Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives.Able to handle working on and completing projects within tight deadlines while maintaining professionalism.Education and Experience:2 yrs Supervisory experience or 5 yrs Lead experience, or equivalent combination of leadership experience.3+ yrs fabrication experience, press brake and laser experience preferred.3 years of experience in Production operations/processes (Process Improvement, LEAN, 5S, etc.).Experience or familiarity with powder coating equipment (guns, booth, washer, dry oven, cure oven) is a plus.Supervisor / Manager Responsibilities:Manages teams of up to 50 individuals: Fabricators, Welders, Trailer Assemblers.Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:Majority of work occurs in a typical manufacturing/assembly warehouse environment. Moderate walking and standing in the warehouse, observing workers' activities, and interacting with personnel. Exposure to heat, cold, dampness, humidity, slippery and uneven surfaces. Follow and adhere to all company safety policies and regulations.Work Hours:Typical schedule is 6:00am - 4:30pm Monday - Thursday, with occasional need for overtime as required to complete production activities.
