Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM 

Hourly Rate: $27.00 an hour

Performance-Based Job Description:  Powder Coat Team Lead

Objective: Support the powder coating operations by leading a team of operators and technicians to achieve production goals, maintain quality standards, and ensure safety compliance under the direction of the Production Manager.

Performance Goals:

  1. Production Support:
    • Assist in meeting daily production targets by ensuring team members follow established procedures and efficiently operate equipment.
    • Proactively address minor issues to maintain smooth operations, escalating significant concerns to the Production Manager as needed.
  2. Quality Assurance:
    • Conduct regular inspections of coated products to ensure they meet quality standards.
    • Support team members in maintaining high-quality output by providing guidance and training on quality procedures.
  3. Team Coordination:
    • Lead daily shift meetings to communicate production goals, safety reminders, and any updates from the Production Manager.
    • Promote team collaboration and a positive work environment, helping to maintain high team morale and engagement.
  4. Safety Enforcement:
    • Ensure team members adhere to safety protocols at all times, conducting safety checks and reporting any hazards to the Production Manager.
    • Act as the first point of contact for safety concerns during the shift and assist in safety training sessions.
  5. Process Improvement:
    • Identify areas where team efficiency can be improved and suggest changes to the Shift Supervisor for implementation.
    • Encourage team members to contribute ideas for process enhancements, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  6. Shift Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate records of team performance, production output, and any issues that arise during the shift.
    • Provide the Production Manager with detailed end-of-shift reports to ensure a seamless transition between shifts.
  7. Equipment Monitoring:
    • Oversee the correct use of equipment by team members, ensuring proper operation and flagging any maintenance needs.
    • Perform routine checks on equipment to detect any issues early, coordinating with the maintenance team as necessary.
