Job description

Line Cook
Bibi EateryPosition Summary
Bibi Eatery is seeking reliable, fast, and team-oriented Line Cooks to join our high-volume, fast-casual kitchen. Our line cooks are responsible for preparing and executing menu items with consistency, accuracy, and speed while maintaining strict cleanliness and food safety standards. This is a fast-paced environment where efficiency and organization are essential.

Stations range between hot and cold preparation, and all cooks must be comfortable working multiple areas of the kitchen as needed.

Station Overview
Hot stations include sauté, gas grill, fryer, and hot appetizer production. Cold stations include salads, cold appetizers, bowl assembly, and certain hot items that require cold-side preparation and finishing. Flexibility is required, as station assignments may shift based on business volume and staffing.

Core Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to company recipes and portion standards. Execute orders quickly and accurately during high-volume service periods. Maintain a clean, stocked, and organized station at all times. Assist with daily prep, labeling, dating, stocking, and cleaning duties. Communicate clearly with team members and managers to ensure smooth service flow. Follow all company procedures and uphold Bibi’s quality standards.

Food Safety & Sanitation Standards
Strict adherence to food safety guidelines is mandatory. Line cooks must practice proper handwashing procedures throughout their shift, especially after handling raw proteins, using the restroom, touching face or hair, or switching tasks. Gloves must be worn when handling ready-to-eat foods and changed frequently to prevent cross-contamination.

All food must be properly labeled and dated and rotated using FIFO (First In, First Out). Cold foods must be held at 41°F or below, and hot foods must be held at 135°F or above. Thermometers must be used to verify internal cooking temperatures for poultry, meats, and reheated items.

Raw proteins must always be stored below ready-to-eat foods. Separate cutting boards and utensils must be used for raw and cooked items. Work surfaces must be cleaned and sanitized throughout the shift. Sanitizer solutions must be maintained at proper concentration levels. Spills must be addressed immediately to prevent accidents. Employees must report any symptoms of illness before beginning a shift.

Physical & Work Environment Expectations
Bibi Eatery operates in a high-energy, quick-service environment. This role requires standing for extended periods, often 8 to 10 hours per shift. The position involves constant movement, including walking, reaching, bending, and pivoting throughout the kitchen. Cooks must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted. The environment includes exposure to gas grills, fryers, hot surfaces, sharp tools, and loud equipment. The ability to remain focused and efficient during busy rush periods is essential.

Professional Standards
All line cooks must follow Bibi Eatery’s uniform guidelines and maintain a clean, professional appearance. Non-slip shoes are required. Punctuality, dependability, and teamwork are critical to success in this role.

Qualifications
At least 1 year of kitchen experience is preferred. Experience in a fast-casual or high-volume setting is strongly preferred. Candidates must demonstrate knowledge of basic food safety and station organization. Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays is required.

Bibi Eatery is looking for individuals who move with urgency, take pride in their work, and contribute positively to a fast-moving, team-driven kitchen environment.
