Job description

VAL-CO is a leader in commercial poultry, egg, and swine production equipment. VAL-CO specializes in world-famous commercial poultry watering and feeding systems, as well as ventilation, feed storage, nesting equipment, and rodent and wildlife management. With offices in Pennsylvania and Ohio, we pride ourselves on manufacturing high quality products in the USA and supporting our local communities through stewardship efforts and volunteer hours.
We are currently looking for Full-Time Machine Operator's in the New Holland, PA facility. The position is second shift, Monday through Friday, 2:30pm to 1am. Pay starts at $18 per hour depending on experience with an additional $1.50 per hour shift differential. Training will be on first shift. (6:00am to 2:30pm)

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Set up and operate production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines
  • Adjust machine setting to complete tasks according to specifications in a timely manner
  • Complete required logs and tracking cards
  • Ensuring that machine is maintained for highest level of productivity
  • Performing in-process inspection on components being produced
  • Read and interpret basic blueprints and diagrams
  • Consulting lead person for assistance if uncertain how to proceed
  • Ensuring proper housekeeping and safety of designated production area

Requirements:
  • Ability to stand for long periods up to 8-10 hours per shift
  • Lifting of up to 50 lbs. periodically
  • Possess basic math skills
  • Ability to work independently with moderate supervision
  • Basic English language skills
